GLS is the most common pickup-point carrier for Danish Shopify stores. With Pakkeshopper you show GLS Pakkeshop and GLS home delivery in the checkout, print GLS labels and track the parcels, all from one app.
What you get with GLS in Pakkeshopper
GLS Pakkeshop in the checkout
Your customer picks a GLS Pakkeshop in the Shopify checkout, from a list or from a map with GLS markers. Each pickup point shows distance and opening hours. The order confirmation page shows the GLS logo, a delivery status bar and the chosen pickup point with address and opening hours. Read more about pickup points in the checkout.
GLS home delivery
Add a second GLS method for home delivery. Address validation checks that the customer has typed a house number and blocks the checkout until the address is corrected. This avoids carrier penalty fees.
GLS labels and return labels
Pakkeshopper prints GLS labels as PDF directly from the order, or in bulk from the orders list. You can mark the order as fulfilled with the tracking number in the same step, so Shopify sends its shipping confirmation e-mail. Turn on return labels, and a GLS return label prints after each shipping label. With Print Agent, the labels print on your label printer the moment they are created. Read more about label printing.
GLS tracking
Pakkeshopper tracks every GLS shipment. The tracking dashboard shows delivery rate, median transit time, exceptions and returns. A list collects GLS parcels that are stuck in transit, uncollected or on the way back. Shopify Flow triggers let you act when a parcel has been stuck for more than 4 days or has waited at a pickup point for 4 days.
Shipping rules that fit GLS methods
- Weight: show GLS Pakkeshop for parcels under a weight limit and home delivery for heavier orders.
- Order value: offer free GLS shipping above a threshold. Discount codes are deducted first.
- Zip codes: add a surcharge for the Danish islands with one-click presets for bridged and non-bridged islands.
- Products and customers: hide GLS Pakkeshop for bulky products with a product tag, or show a special GLS method for customers with a B2B tag.
