DHL is the carrier many Danish stores choose for Germany, and DHL also delivers in Denmark. Pakkeshopper puts DHL pickup points and home delivery in your Shopify checkout and keeps the parcels in view after they ship.
What you get with DHL in Pakkeshopper
- Pickup points in the checkout. Shoppers in Germany and Denmark pick a DHL pickup point from a list or a map, with distance and opening hours. Read more about pickup points in the checkout.
- Home delivery. Add a DHL home delivery method next to the pickup point method, with its own price and rules.
- Fast pickup point lookup. The German and Danish pickup points come from a local copy, refreshed every night, so the checkout loads them fast.
- Labels through vShip. Map the DHL method to a vShip shipping profile, and Pakkeshopper books the label through vShip. You need a vShip account.
- Tracking. DHL is one of the carriers Pakkeshopper tracks.
Shipping rules that fit DHL
Most stores use DHL for one or two countries and other carriers for the rest:
- Destination country. Show the DHL method to shoppers in Germany and Denmark, and show GLS or PostNord to other countries.
- Weight and order value. Hide DHL above a weight limit, or offer free DHL delivery above an order value. Discount codes are deducted before the free-shipping threshold is checked.
- Products and customers. Use product tags, product groups or customer tags to show DHL only for the right products or customers.
See all options on the shipping rules page, and read the guide on shipping to the Nordics and Germany.
DHL labels through vShip
Pakkeshopper does not print DHL labels itself. You map the DHL shipping method to a shipping profile in your vShip account. When you print from an order, or in bulk from the orders list, Pakkeshopper books the label through vShip. Print Agent then prints it on your label printer. Return labels are not available for DHL.
Tracking DHL parcels
Every DHL shipment appears in the tracking dashboard with delivery rate, median transit time, median handover time, exceptions and a full timeline per shipment. Active shipments refresh every 4 hours. Shopify Flow triggers fire when a parcel is stuck in transit for more than 4 days, waits uncollected for 4 days or is on its way back.
Which plan do you need
The Starter plan is free for the first 100 orders per month and includes one carrier. The Pro plan ($19 per month, 500 orders) includes all carriers, label printing, statistics and API access.
