DAO pickup points in the checkout

Your customer picks a DAO pickup point in the checkout, from a list or from a map with DAO markers. Each pickup point shows distance and opening hours. DAO home delivery

Add a DAO method for home delivery. Address validation checks that the customer has typed a house number and blocks the checkout until the address is corrected. This avoids carrier penalty fees.

DAO labels and return labels

Pakkeshopper prints DAO labels as PDF directly from the order, or in bulk from the orders list. You can mark the order as fulfilled with the tracking number in the same step, so Shopify sends its shipping confirmation e-mail. Turn on return labels, and a DAO return label prints after each shipping label.

DAO tracking

Pakkeshopper tracks every DAO shipment. The tracking dashboard shows delivery rate, median transit time, exceptions and returns, with a scorecard per carrier so you can compare DAO with your other carriers. A list collects DAO parcels that are stuck in transit, uncollected or on the way back. Shopify Flow triggers fire when a parcel has been stuck for more than 4 days or uncollected for 4 days. Shipping rules that fit DAO methods

Zip codes: show DAO in the zip codes where you want to use it, or add a surcharge for the Danish islands with one-click presets.
Weight: show DAO pickup points for parcels under a weight limit and home delivery for heavier orders.
Order value: offer free DAO shipping above a threshold. Discount codes are deducted first.
Products and customers: hide DAO for bulky products with a product tag, or show a B2B method for tagged customers.

Which plan do you need

Starter is free for the first 100 orders per month and includes one carrier, so you can run DAO alone on the free plan. Pro ($19 per month) gives you all carriers and DAO label printing. Max ($49 per month) adds zip code, product tag and customer tag filters. See pricing.

How to get started

Install Pakkeshopper and turn on Carrier Calculated Rates

Install Pakkeshopper from the Shopify App Store. Ask Shopify support to add Carrier Calculated Rates to your store if your plan does not already include it.

Add a DAO shipping method

Create a shipping method in the Pakkeshopper dashboard, choose DAO and pickup point or home delivery, set the price and add rules for weight, order value or zip codes.

Test the checkout

Place a test order with a Danish address. Shopify caches rates for up to 24 hours, so change the house number or the cart contents to get fresh rates.
