Printing labels in a separate carrier portal costs time on every order. You copy the address, print the PDF, go back to Shopify and type in the tracking number. Pakkeshopper moves all of that into your Shopify admin.
Labels from the order or in bulk
Open an order and print the carrier label as a PDF. On a busy day, select the orders in the orders list and print them in bulk. In the same step, Pakkeshopper marks the order as fulfilled with the tracking number, so Shopify sends its shipping confirmation e-mail to the customer. The label follows the delivery type and pickup point the customer chose in the checkout, so you do not type anything in again.
Which carriers print directly
Pakkeshopper prints labels itself for these carriers:
- GLS
- PostNord, with the store's own PostNord customer number
- DAO
- Bring
- Posti, on Bring's network in Finland
- DPD, on PostNord's network for Europe outside the Nordics
- PostNL, in beta
See the carrier overview for every carrier, or go straight to GLS and PostNord.
Every other carrier through vShip
For carriers such as DHL, UPS, Budbee, Burd, Hermes and Evri, Pakkeshopper books the label through vShip. Map a shipping method to a shipping profile in your vShip account, and label printing books the parcel through vShip for every carrier vShip supports. You need a vShip account for this.
Return labels
Turn on return labels on the Label Print page, and a return label prints after each shipping label. The customer uses it to send the parcel back from a parcel shop. Return labels work with GLS, Bring, DAO and PostNord. If an order was printed without a return label, you add one later from the order.
Ship part of an order
Not everything in stock? Choose how many of each item go in the parcel and print a label for those items only. Ship the rest later on a new label. Each parcel gets its own label and tracking number, and the order shows as partly fulfilled in Shopify until the last parcel is sent.
Shopify also lets a customer ship some items and collect the rest in your store in one order. Pakkeshopper weighs and fulfils only the items in the parcel. The items for store pickup stay with your store.
Print Agent and the iPhone app
Print Agent is a free app for Windows and Mac. It prints your labels on your label printer the moment they are created, one at a time or in bulk, with no PDFs to open. You pair it with your shop from the dashboard, and one Print Agent can serve several shops.
In the warehouse, the Pakkeshopper iPhone app lets your staff pick and pack orders, scan barcodes and print to Brother QL label printers.
How to set it up
- Open the Label Print page in the Pakkeshopper dashboard.
- Enter your carrier details, such as your PostNord customer number.
- Turn on return labels if you want them.
- For vShip carriers, map each shipping method to a vShip shipping profile.
- Install Print Agent if you want labels to print automatically.
Then open an order in Shopify, print the label, and check that the order is fulfilled with its tracking number.
Which plan you need
Label printing is included from the Pro plan. Pro covers 500 orders per month for $19, with no commitment, and then $0.02 per extra order. Max and Enterprise include label printing too. See the pricing on the home page.
